  12. u16 can decompress files compressed with the "compress" program and
  13. handles 16 bit compression.                          
  14.                                                      
  15. It will need somewhere around 280K to run.

  17. Type "u16 -H" for a help message.

  19. Version 1.2 fixes some bugs that 1.1 had uncompressing multiple files.

  27. This is a welcome program because MS-DOS users with limited memory
  28. often get stuck with 16-bit-"compress" format files that they cannot
  29. uncompress easily.                                   
  30.                                                      
  31. Newsadmins:  The "Can-delete:" header tells you which file(s) from a
  32. previous posting can be deleted because they are superseded by this
  33. one.  Do not automate this, as I can make mistakes.  Do any deletion of
  34. files manually after checking carefully to make sure that you really
  35. don't need them any more.

  37. This version of u16 replaces an earlier version posted here that had
  38. some bugs.
